Gremlin in Training was done in 2025. I used a Human IK control rigged gremlin to animate in Maya using three-point lighting with area lights, a custom camera, and the Arnold Renderer. The gremlin starts in a crouching position, jumps, then crawls backwards.
Comets vs. Sleds is an animation I made in Adobe Animate in 2025. It’s in HTML5 Canvas at 1280px by 720px. The goal was to implement sound to match multiple animated elements as well as have at least two working buttons for interactivity. I used shapes to draw the friends and my Wacom drawing tablet and stylus to draw the scarf. I downloaded sounds from freesound.org and converted them to 44100 16-bit Stereo MP3 files in Adobe Audition to make sure they could play properly when testing in my browser. The background of snowy hills, coniferous trees, the moon, stars, and comets were part of an asset I found in Adobe Animate. I used a classic tween and with an ease-in cubic setting for the sledding and comet strikes. I broke apart the comets, put them on a separate layer, and convert them to symbols to get them to animate, and I also had to break apart the friends to get their arms to raise at the end. My intent was to have players hit the INCREASE SPEED button before 7.5 seconds pass so that the friends could make it to the bottom of the hill without getting hit by a comet. I learned how to use createjs.Sound, setTimeout, and other code snippets with the wizard in the Actions panel as they relate to JavaScript.
Naturium Web Banner is a 36px by 280px large rectangle that I made using Adobe Animate as a trial Ulta Beauty ad for the glycolic acid and KP body line by Naturium skincare. It was my first time making a working button for HTML5 Canvas. I created typographical and visual hierarchy by changing the placement, alpha aka opacity, and using keyframes for different timing of animated elements.
